About Us

Our Mission Statement

Breaking the Cycle of Abuse,

One Child at a Time!

This mission, with community support, is accomplished through the commitment of a cooperative partnership of law enforcement, legal services, child protective services, medical services and therapeutic care providers.

The NETCAC offers a safe child friendly environment to children between the ages of 2-17 who have been sexually or severely physically abused or have been a witness to a violent crime. The children who come to the NETCAC are allowed to tell their stories in a non-leading way to a trained forensic interviewer rather than having to repeat it multiple times to multiple agencies involved in the investigation and prosecution, there for reducing the trauma to the child.

Caring for Kids, a prevention program of the NETCAC, provides education and support to break the cycle of abuse and neglect. We offer parent education classes, children and youth programs, personal safety programs in schools and ongoing Parents Anonymous® support groups.

The NETCAC is a non-profit 501-3c organization that relies on grant funding, community donations and volunteer time.

In the Parents Anonymous® group, parents share support, understanding and guidance from other parents who are facing similar dilemmas. In the weekly, 1.5-hour group meeting, parents can listen and talk through problems with each other. It's a time to explore issues that affect relationships with children, such as stresses and tensions about child behavior, discipline and communication. A trained facilitator serves as a guide and resource to members and co-leads the group with parents. Parents can freely share their feelings and thoughts in a confidential, non-judgmental, nurturing environment. Most parents acknowledge that the groups are a meaningful experience that create life-long positive changes.
