In the Parents Anonymous^® group, parents share support, understanding and guidance from other parents who are facing similar dilemmas. In the weekly, 1.5-hour group meeting, parents can listen and talk through problems with each other. It's a time to explore issues that affect relationships with children, such as stresses and tensions about child behavior, discipline and communication. A trained facilitator serves as a guide and resource to members and co-leads the group with parents. Parents can freely share their feelings and thoughts in a confidential, non-judgmental, nurturing environment. Most parents acknowledge that the groups are a meaningful experience that create life-long positive changes.
