All volunteers will need to complete an application

and background check and will be provided the

proper training for each program he/she chooses to participate in.  Volunteers can be as active as they'd like and most opportunities are flexible around their schedules. Volunteers

are a vital part of NETCAC, helping us to raise awareness

about our prevention programs, child abuse and to

“Break the Cycle of Abuse, One Child at a Time”.

 

 

 

 

Facilitating

· Guiding a support group for parents, children or teens through a 10 week program.  Training is provided for each specific program

· Manage a Parents Anonymous® support group

· Direct Personal Safety Program for youth

 

Child Involvement

· Assist local children’s  events

· Support the Angel Tree Project

· Manage child care program during parenting classes

 

Administrative office

· General duties including but not limited to: Filing, copying, data entry, faxing, answering phones

· Assembling information packets

· Folding bimonthly newsletter and assisting with mail outs

 

Fundraising and Area Events

· Soliciting donations and Sponsorships

· Attend and assist in various duties of specific fundraisers

· Set up or take down at events offering information and brochures

 

Maintenance

· Yard Maintenance and Landscaping

· Clean & Organize Storage Shed

· Wash & Sterilize Toys

 

Public Speaking:

· Speaking to groups and organizations for the purpose of educating and informing the community about the center

 

Food Preparation

· Preparing/baking meals or snacks for various meetings, trainings, fundraisers etc.

 

General Support

· Soliciting donations from our Needs List

· Provide financial support

 

Satellite  Office

· Provide child guidance, Parent Intakes and general       upkeep of the facility

 

 

Volunteer Chapters –

 

Chapter responsibilities are:

Creating, gathering materials and donations and 

running a fundraiser in their county for the center.

As well as run booths at fairs and festivals to help raise

awareness of child abuses. NETCAC will help coordinate as needed.

 

Every chapter needs:

 

President- coordinating meetings (held bimonthly or

                quarterly) and fundraisers (once or twice a year),

                keeps up the communication between the group and the                      center and keep the group motivated.  

 

Secretary- Assists the President, takes minutes at the

                meetings, and contacts the group when needed.         

 

Treasurer- Keeps up with all monies from donations

and fundraisers and gets it back to NETCAC.             

 

 

Current Chapters are in:

Mt. Vernon, Quitman, Sulphur Springs and Winnsboro

 

*We are looking for chapters to start in Upshur and Titus Co.
